SDSN Seeks Comments on Draft Report on SDG Indicators
14 February 2014: The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) has released a draft report on 'Indicators for Sustainable Development,' which proposes a framework of 100 integrated indicators for potential goals and targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A public comment period on the draft is open from 14 February-14 March 2014, to receive input on the proposed indicators.
In addition to specific indicators, the draft report proposes "principles and responsibilities for SDG monitoring." Suggestions are made in regard to: criteria for selecting indicators; collecting data; arranging indicators for cross-cutting issues; and principles for deciding on goals, targets and indicators.
After the conclusion of the public consultation period, all comments and submissions will be made available on the SDSN website, unless specific requests for confidentiality are made, and SDSN will publish a summary of the comments.
